I cooked this for us yesterday–along with some rotisserie chicken I resurrected from 4 days prior. Turned out great! Though…I probably overdid the tomatoes with the Mediterranean seasoning I used, but I will know next time. It was still edible. Anyway, the veggies were fresh, and raw- not from a can or the freezer- to begin with (an accomplishment for me). Plus, I used to hate eating tomatoes, period. I’m glad a good friend taught me the wonders of cooking with honey! Ha.
Shoes… Something so common nowadays that they might be taken for granted. Shoes come in many shapes, colors and sizes but they all share the same purpose, protect your feet meat. Some shoes are used specifically for style while some are used for comfort, with that being said, I (Thomas) would be a casual dress shoe like the one above. To me that shoe says “Hey I came here for business but I can cut a rug too.”
Tofurther break this down, lets dissect the major portions of the shoe starting with the sole. To me, the sole of the shoe is the most important part because it comes in contact with some of the dirtiest and cleanest foundations you’ll ever see. Where you walk determines how worn-out your soul is going to be. I did some research and found out the sides of a dress shoe are called the quarter. The quarter is very important because it gives a shoe style and class. The tongue is important because if not used properly it can be very bothersome. If you’ve ever walked around with the tongue of your shoe bunched up you know what I mean. It can cause your entire foot to be uncomfortable and begging for relief. Shoes are very significant and can tell a great deal about a person. The next time you look at your shoes examine yourself and figure out what shoe you’d like to be…
What are you focused on? ..wait ..What am I focused on? Am I focused on that one thing holding me back, or the beauty that lies ahead?
I only know of four ways to get around a fence in life.
1. climb over, jump it
2. dig a hole, go under
3. push it down
4. walk around until you find a way around or inside
Whichever route, I’ve gotta be focused on my goals, not necessarily the obstacle all the time. Don’t let it fence me in!!! I have to view my goals as bigger than my obstacles. With our human eyes, we can only literally focus on one thing at a time. And I’m tired of tired eyes! It’s time to refocus.
We made our first fire in our wood burning fireplace. Got that good ol 7-Eleven firewood and went to work. We even got rid of some papers we needed to shred…by burning em, who needs shredders?!! Special time.
